Lion Lehmann joined sitem-insel Promoting Services and the KPM Center for Public Management of the University of Bern in October 2018 as a research assistant. His research focus lies on innovative payment models for fostering market access of antibiotics. Furthermore, he uses health economic modelling to estimate the societal value of innovative antibiotics. The societal value of innovative effective antibiotics is potentially great, especially in the face of rising antibiotic resistance.
Before joining sitem-insel, Lion Lehmann studied European Public Health at Maastricht University and Health Economics at Rotterdam University obtaining his bachelor's and master's degrees. During his studies, Lion Lehmann was involved in research on the implementation of electronic health records and cost-effectiveness estimations of innovative oncological treatments.
