Kosta Shatrov joined sitem-insel Promoting Services and the KPM Center for Public Management of the University of Bern in September 2017. His dissertation comprises a cost analysis of the development and approval cycle of medical products. He also examines the effects of the existing medtech regulatory framework on innovation from the perspectives of both state authorities and private entrepreneurship.
Kosta Shatrov accomplished his studies in Economics at the Freie Universität Berlin and the University of Bayreuth. During his studies he specialized in Health Economics and Economic Policy. He also studied the field of Regional and Sustainable Economics at the University of Bordeaux. Before joining sitem-insel, he worked at the Univesity of Bayreuth as an undergraduate assistant at the Chair of Marketing and Innovation, and later examined current development trends in the field of regional healthcare provision at the Institute for Healthcare Management and Health sciences.
