The University of Bern has a great interest in transforming findings from basic research into products with social and economic benefits. sitem-insel as a public-private partnership is unique in Switzerland. It supports the networking of clinicians with researchers at the university; and with interested parties from the MedTech and pharmaceutical industries. We know sitem-insel as a place of innovation, entrepreneurship and further education – it is in their DNA.

Prof. Dr. Christian Leumann
Rector of the University of Bern

The MAS in Translational Medicine and Biomedical Entrepreneurship enabled me to significantly advance my project. I was able to directly apply what I learned through each module and expand my skills in regulatory affairs, project management, business development and entrepreneurship. I am also thankful to the sitem school directors and coordinator for their availability and support and all module contributors for the efficient interactions during kick off and wrap up sessions.
